I realised this Library for my own personal use back in 1991, with my beloved sampler Akai S950.
All samples were originally taken at 48kHz-12bit resolution, which was the highest quality standard for the S950, and recently converted into a common 44.1kHz 16bit format so, ready to be used via every contemporary hardware Sampler or DAW.
171 samples of Roland Drum Machines TR-707, TR-727, TR-808 and TR-909, including all machine single sounds and their variations. Some of Roland R8 drum machine sounds are also included in the pack.
All Samples have been strictly taken from the original drum machines that I owned, without passing into any mixer or effect processor. It’s all flat and reflecting the unbeatable fat and dirty sound of the Akai S950 !
