about

This is one of my best releases to date in my opinion.

It set the launch of my Groove Sense Records label, plus marked the beginning of a lucky partnership with my old good friend (and partner in crime) Pietro ‘Pikkio’ De Rosa, who kept on producing alongside me until 1996, time by he decided to quit making music.

Another nice story about this release is that it was the first release ever where I used a real Roland TR-808. When I met Pietro he had this beautiful drum computer loaded of patterns he was working on at the time so, we decided to tweak some of them together and integrate with some sequences I had on the Atari ST’s Cubase.

Result was this great 4 tracks EP that was way ahead at the time. Breathless shifting drum grooves flavoured with dark organs and tight loops on vocals. I’m proud to say that the whole release was mentor of many other releases from 1993 on.
